Obstructions to Divine Good

NEW Memory Verse:
2 Tim 2:4, “No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life,
so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier.”

Discourse; John 13-16, Pt 445

John 15:18-21
Obstructions to Divine Good Production, Pt. 26

John 15:18-21, Obstructions to Divine Good Production
Reason #1: Satan’s Cosmic System hates the believer!
Reason #2: We are not of this world-Election out from the World!
Reason #3: “The servant is not greater than his Lord,” therefore we too will have persecutions!
Reason # 4 – John 15:21:“The Cosmos does not know God and is ignorant to His Plan.”

John 15:21, “But all these things, (persecutions), they will do to you all for the sake of My name. Because they inherently do not know the One (God the Father) who sent Me.”

Doctrine of God the Father

III. God the Father

Trinity Slide

E. The Functionality of God the Father related to Mankind:
1. God the Father Created the Universe.
2. He created Man.
            3. He gives and preserves life in man.
4. He is the planner of salvation for mankind.
5. He elected the believer from eternity past.
            6. He Calls, Justifies and Glorifies the believer.

            7. God the Father indwells all Church Age believers as part of the Mystery Doctrine for the Church Age, John 14:23; Eph 4:6; 2 John 9. His abiding establishes our eternal relationship with Him.
                        a. God the Son indwells us according to John 14:20; 17:22-23; Rom 8:10; 2 Cor 13:5; Gal 2:20; Col 1:27; 1 John 2:24. We are the temple for the dwelling of the Shekinah Glory.
                        b. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is found in Rom 8:11; 1 Cor 3:16, 6:19-20; 2 Cor 6:16. He Indwells us to empower us to execute the spiritual life and adorn the Temple of Christ.

8. The Father is fully responsible for our prayers.
                        a. The Father hears (receives) our prayers. We pray to the Father. Mat 6:6-9; 7:11; Luke 11:2, 13; John 15:16; 16:23; 1 John 1:7-9. We approach the throne of Grace, Heb 4:16
b. He answers our prayers, Mat 18:19; Luke 11:13; John 15:16; 16:23; 1 John 5:14-15. Mat 18:19, “Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.”
c. He forgives us of our sins when we confess them to Him, Mat 6:14 cf 1 John 1:9. Mat 6:14, “For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.”
d. The Son is our Intercessory/Advocate in prayer, Rom 8:34; 1 John 2:1.
e. The Holy Spirit helps us (intercedes for us) in prayer, Rom 8:26.

9. God the Father disciplines and judges, Mat 18:35; Heb 12:4-11, (Prov 3:11-12; Psa 119:75); Deut 8:5; 2 Sam 7:14.

Mat 18:35, “My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.”

            a. Jesus Christ is said to discipline the reversionistic believer in 1 Cor 11:32; Rev 3:19.
b. The Holy Spirit brings judgment, Judges 3:10.

            10. God the Father provides divine power for the function of His Plan for your life. The omnipotence of God the Father is related to our Portfolio of Invisible Assets. He is also the designer of God’s Power System that is available to every believer.

Your Portfolio of Invisible Assets includes:

            b. The omnipotence of God the Holy Spirit is related to residence, function, and momentum inside God’s Power System.

11. The greatest power the Father has given to us is His Word, Bible Doctrine, John 15:15; 17:14, 17 cf. Heb 4:12.
            a. The Bible is said to be the Mind of Christ, 1 Cor 2:16; 2 Peter 3:18.
            b. The Bible was inspired by God the Holy Spirit 2 Sam 23:2; Acts 28:25; 2 Tim 3:16, and is revealed / taught to man by the Spirit, John 16:13; 1 Cor 12:8; Eph 6:17; 2 Peter 1:20-21.

2 Sam 23:2, “The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and His word was on my tongue.”

2 Tim 3:16-17, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

“Inspired by God” is the Greek word THEOPNEUSTOS which comes from THEOS that means God and PNEUMA that means breath or spirit. Literally it is “God-breathed”, (i.e. inspired by God.) PNEUMA is used in the New Testament for the Holy Spirit, therefore it is the Holy Spirit who has inspired the writers of the New Testament to write the Word of God. This is called “Verbal Plenary Inspiration of the Scripture.”

12. The Pastor’s authority is given by God the Father. 2 Cor 3:5-6.
a. The Pastor’s authority is of the Son, as Paul testified in 1 Tim 1:12, “He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.”
b. The Pastor’s authority is of the Holy Spirit, as Paul instructed the elders of the Church in Ephesus, Acts 20:28, “Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”

            13. All positions of human authority have been established by the Father, Rom 13:1-4.

14. God the Father will resurrect all of mankind. It is recorded of both the Father and the Son in, John 5:21 “For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes.
a. Of the Third Person it is stated in Rom 8:11, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

VERSE:

VERSE:
The day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will
disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and
the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything
will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be?
You ought to live holy and godly lives.
    -- 2 Peter 3:10-11

THOUGHT:
Holiness is that forgotten character virtue that is the
Christian's reflection of God, his or her holy and righteous
Father. In a day when grace is so easily cheapened, when anything
goes just as long as we want to be buddies with Jesus, Peter's
words should shock us into reverence - the holy commitment to set
our lives apart from the evil and satanic sludge that defiles our
world and to offer our bodies, hearts, and minds to do his will and
reflect his character.

PRAYER:
Holy and Righteous Father, teach me to do your will and reflect
your character while offering your grace to others. May the
movements of my heart, the thoughts of my mind, and the actions of
my life be pleasing to you and reflect your holiness and grace. In
Jesus' holy name I pray. Amen.

VERSE:

VERSE:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. ... The Word
became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his
glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father,
full of grace and truth.
    -- John 1:1-2 and 14

THOUGHT:
All true ministry is "incarnational" - it involves people to
people contact, human touch, and genuine physical care. While
Heartlight is an Internet ministry, it will never live in
cyberspace. It must be carried into the daily life of believers who
are committed to share the grace of Jesus with their FRANs
(Friends, Relatives, Acquaintances, Neighbors). Just as God
purposely sent Jesus at the right time to the right place, he did
so with us. We are here to bless others, "not just in word, but in
deed and truth!"

PRAYER:
Glorious Father, thank you for putting me where I am. I know I
am here to do your work and carry on Jesus' ministry. Help me seize
the opportunities you give me today to bless others in the name of
Jesus
. In that mighty name of my Lord I pray. Amen.

SAINTS ORPHANAGE INTL'

About Us:
Saints Orphanage International Orphans Centre, is based in the Kenyan capital city of Nairobi, It is situated on the Eastlands part of Nairobi at the heart of the sprawling Kayole estate in Embakasi Division. The few all-weather roads that cut through the estate are so narrow and difficult to navigate. With the teeming population of this sprawling estate and the absence of pedestrian footpaths, driving in this part of the word is not for the faint hearted.
The Centre is surrounded by numerous slum dwellings, which include Soweto , Kwa Ngurue, Kibarage, Mworoto, Matopeni and Humama. These areas are characterized by inadequate infrastructure, squalid housing structures, abject poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, acute HIV/AIDS prevalence, disease, crime, and family violence.
The hardest hit and affected by these conditions are the children, especially those orphaned through HIV/AIDS and crime. The Centre takes care of children who have been orphaned by providing free education, accommodation, food, clothing, healthcare, individual skills enhancement and spiritual support to the children.  Counseling is an integral aspect of the services provided at the Centre, especially to traumatized children whose parents have succumbed to HIV/AIDS, or who have a history of physical and/or sexual abuse.
The Director of the Centre, Pastor David Oyaro, has seen it all. Countless are the times he has attended burials of parents of children now under his care. These disadvantaged children, some of whom are disabled, look up to My evangelism as their only hope. In turn he does not disappoint; for he is man of faith, faith in God and in His ability to take care of His children.
Saints Orphanage International and Education Centre was registered by the Kenyan government in 2006 under the Ministry of Gender, Sports, Culture and Social Services.
The Centre has local Kenyan volunteer workers who include teachers, counselors and cooks for the 70 children.
The children are fed and educated for free at the Centre.
The Centre has 8 classes measuring six-by-ten feet for various grades (from Kindergarten to primary school), which also double up as dormitories. At night, the children spread their beddings on the floor where they lie down to sleep.
 History of the Centre:
During my evangelism in the community, I came face to face with the ravages of the HIV/AIDS epandemic. The plight of children whose parents had succumbed to the deadly virus was too much to bear for Me. So,  I decided to take action.
In the early days, Pastor David would assist the families with the counseling, word of God and prayers to give hope the families affected with HIV/aids. I would only afford to provide for a child’s basic needs during that time of service in the community.
Soon, parents who were infected with HIV/AIDS started dying, leaving their children with nobody to take care of them. Most of these children had already dropped out of school to look after their ailing parents. Even after the government started offering free education in primary schools, it was very difficult for the ailing parents to afford uniforms and other school requirements for their children, which the government could not provide.
After the parents died, the children could not go back to school since they had to take care of their siblings. Hungry and helpless, many went to the streets to pillage in garbage sites, in desperate search of food. Others were kicked out of their parents’ rented houses, leaving them with no choice but to hit the streets.
Unable to accept the unfolding scenario, Pastor David started looking for a shelter for the children where he could house and feed them. He also decided to set up a school for these children. With no money, but a big faith in God, Pastor David rented a nearby building where I  put up the children.
Pastor David rallied the community to support me with food, clothing, etc. At times they will not donate enough for the children to eat, since most of them live in less than a dollar a day. Although during difficult days, God is always at hand to provide.
With people volunteering to teach the children, formal learning was gradually introduced at the Centre. Despite the fact that we don’t have desks, the children had to learn while sitting on the bare floor or standing. The need however, is still very high as a number of the children continue to sit on the bare floor during lessons. Also during night we have problem of beddings and a nice place for them to sleep.
